My data comes from Brisnet but I'm pretty sure DRF and Equibase also have lifetime.Dustin Korth

Which file comes with lifetime PPs at BRIS?
  • Dustin Korth

Someone else set up the data feed. I'll ask and get back to you.

I don't know of any Brisnet data file that gives lifetime pp's! Of course it will show you the highest lifetime speed ratings for dirt, turf etc.

Yes, you just don't know what pace rating matches to the lifetime speed.

Maybe we're getting lifetime by scraping PPs rather than data files. Not sure but I'll find out.

    Thank you.
It's a feature I've recently added to the new software - not lifetime, but adds to a history file. Probably not in the 1st release.

Bris has lifetime best SR listed to the right of the Lifetime consistency box. See #3 Thenorthrembers.

Yes, but this angle requires the lifetime best 4f pace, too.

Race 4- Baba (2-1)- was claimed by a winning barn last out which should only help depress her odds. I expect her to get outside pressure early and fade in deep stretch.

Baba is coming off a claim and taking an apprentice, which is sometimes a winning combo. She's also coming out of a possible key race. I think she's got a shot.

Ranch you were right on the money. Even though the scratch her chances up front she humbled these. I read the race wrong!!

    Question......
Using BRIS, the rule would use E2 in sprints, E1 in routes, both being quater mile pace?

    Thanks
No data to quantify, but for years, using the 2nd call pace in both sprints and routes, a pattern I've found very predictive for young, lightly race horses (<10 starts) is

    1. New pace top, SR goes down a length or two
    2. Next race, pace goes down, SR goes to new top.

I am pretty sure that E2 in sprints and E1 in routes is the half mile pace.

Race 4- Mr Connecticut (5-2)- I feel that he's developed a pattern of happy to chase the leaders. I'm certain he will finish well a pick up a minor award.

Race 4- Soldier Rising (3-5)- failed at low odds last time while encountering trouble. That trouble line will only depress his odds today.

TDN1 July 5. First race today at Thistledown. #5 Midnight Ohio looks like a very legitimate FTS here.
But at 1/2 with 8MTP there are several things not to like. Including the fact that there are at least two other horses the #1 and #3 that have run to par for the level, and the #6 looks to only be a step behind these two. Plenty of speed signed up, which means our FTS will have to pass several horses in the lane to win this. Betting against at 1/2 odds. Off track only adds to uncertainty here.

The only thing I saw is the trainer has good stats. Not much of a work tab. Not a lot of competition, but at point 7 to 1, that's slim pickin's.
