    The best part of the day was getting an autographed photo of Sonny Leon. Yes, he was there. I also got to exchange a quick hello with Steve Asmussen. The track had mailed me a mystery voucher, so that covered my admission. And, I won a few dollars on minimal wagering, though my percentage profit was good. All in all, a good day.

    Well, there was the heat. It was very hot outdoors today. So, I only stayed for 5 races.

    When I lived in Houston, I saw some guys getting out of their car for lunch. One said that the heat was absolutely brutal, unbearable. One of his buddies told him that it was April, just wait until August. :lol:

    I handled the heat much better when I was young. Now it is a struggle.

    I visited Dallas a few years ago and ran most days in the heat. It was 105+ degrees but it was less humid than Baltimore. Still felt like a frying pan. Here's a picture outside of the American Airlines Center.
