For those who may have an interest, I will be having a small surgery tomorrow.
The surgery is to repair a hiatal hernia.
It is laparoscopic and will, hopefully be routine.
I have been warned that the surgery is a little trickier than the regular version (usually about 20-30 minutes) because the hernia is 35 years old. Apparently the stomach adheres itself to the esophagus over time.
Hopefully, I will only be missing for a few days. :)
Once, as I was seeing someone off at the airport, I wished them a LONG FLIGHT. The person asked me why I would wish them that. My response was to have them consider the alternative for a moment.
