Hey guys- a question was raised on Paceadvantage regarding hedging open tickets in horse racing. It reminded me of a time maybe 2 years ago when a friend of mine and myself had several live futures ticket in the NFL and MLB.
My friend was familiar with a fairly new service named Propsway.com . It was essentially a marketplace where customers could buy and sell live tickets. I don't recall much about the transactions except I felt we were fairly compensated. I do not believe horse racing was included.
Has anyone had any experience with Propsway.com?
Essentially like the "Cash Out" option all the major sportsbooks offer these days except it's an open market. Really interesting. Sounds like it would be tough to implement though. I think you'd need integration from the tote the ticket belongs to right?
As I recall it was a marketplace of sort where one could hedge and sell certain types of bets. You may have a futures bet worth $7500, (let's say the NE Patriots to win the AFC championship). As they continue to win and the wager gets closer to maturing the ticket value increases and folks will make offers to purchase the wager from you.
I don't know all the specifics, but a friend of mine did use this service with me and I was pleased with the outcome.
